Speed in a droid army
Separatist armies are known for masses of slow infantry, and STAP Riders are the opposite. They zip just above the ground, so they are great for scouting ahead, flanking the enemy and grabbing objectives. They strike where the enemy is exposed and get out of range quickly, which complements battle droid squads holding the centre of the table.
What to combine them with
STAP Riders support large squads of B1 Battle Droids. The older release of this unit is the first-edition STAP Riders Unit Expansion.
