What's inside the OP-16 booster box
- 24 The Time of Battle booster packs, English edition
- 12 random OP-16 cards in every pack
- 288 cards in total
Bandai does not publish the rarity breakdown of a single pack, so we don't promise a set number of cards of any rarity per box. The publisher also notes that duplicates can appear and that completing the full set from one box may be difficult.
The Time of Battle: the Paramount War in the One Piece Card Game
OP-16 is built around the Paramount War, one of the best-known arcs of the manga. Bandai lists 126+1 card types in the set. The base card list has 119 entries: 45 Commons, 30 Uncommons, 26 Rares, 10 Super Rares, 2 Secret Rares and 6 Leaders, plus Special cards (SP), a Treasure Rare and a DON!! card.
New Leaders and the decks Bandai showcases for the set:
- Portgas D. Ace (red) - a fast Whitebeard Pirates deck that burns through your opponent's Life
- Monkey D. Luffy (green/blue) - Impel Down prisoners and the Straw Hat Crew
- Buggy (blue) - a wide board of convicts led by Captain Buggy
- Sengoku (purple) - high-cost Navy cards and the Three Admirals
- Yamato (black) - Land of Wano, transforming Characters and a trash-focused game plan
- Marshall D. Teach (black/yellow) - Blackbeard and the Seven Warlords of the Sea
Ace and Teach also appear as Secret Rares, and the set's Super Alt-Art cards feature the Three Admirals. The Special cards include Bartholomew Kuma, Cavendish, Charlotte Katakuri, Tashigi and Ms. All Sunday, and the Treasure Rare is Vista.
Why buy the whole booster box
288 cards from one set give you a solid base for new decks: enough Commons and Uncommons to build the core of a deck around one of the six new Leaders, with singles to fill the gaps. Collectors pick the box to open the set in full and chase alternate arts, SP cards and the Treasure Rare, and groups like to open a box together or on stream.
Booster pack or booster box
Single OP-16 The Time of Battle booster packs are enough to try the set or add a few cards to a deck. The booster box makes sense when you build a deck from scratch or collect the whole set, because only 24 packs give you a real spread across all rarities.
The One Piece Card Game in short
Bandai's trading card game is set in the world of Eiichiro Oda's manga. Each player uses one Leader card, a 50-card deck and a 10-card DON!! deck, and DON!! cards are the resource used to play Characters and power up attacks. A deck may only contain cards in the Leader's colors and up to 4 copies of the same card. A player loses when their Leader takes damage with no Life cards left.
