Death Troopers as Imperial Special Forces
In the game the pitch-black death troopers are a Special Forces unit: fewer models than regular infantry, but better equipped and more dangerous. In an Imperial army they act as bodyguards for its commanders.
The publisher points out two links to other expansions. Director Krennic's Entourage keyword lets you field Death Troopers alongside him. An upgrade card from Imperial High Command turns them into commander bodyguards, granting Retinue for a chosen Imperial commander and Guardian 2.
What to combine them with
Krennic and the Death Trooper upgrade come in Imperial High Command. According to the publisher, Imperial Probe Droids help you time the activations of Special Forces such as Death Troopers. The core of the army comes in the Galactic Empire Starter Set.
