Gamegenic: Playmat Prime 2 mm, Yellow
The yellow Gamegenic Prime playmat is a bright, sunny background on which cards in dark sleeves stand out clearly. It measures 610 x 350 mm, is 2 mm thick and made of natural rubber, with no artwork or prints.
The yellow mat and deck colours
Yellow has its place in several games:
- in Disney Lorcana it is the Amber ink,
- in Star Wars: Unlimited the Cunning aspect,
- in the One Piece Card Game one of the six leader colours,
- in the Pokémon TCG it brings Lightning Pokémon to mind, Pikachu first among them.
The light colour has a practical upside too: dark dice and tokens are easy to see on it.
How the Prime playmat works
Two millimetres of natural rubber cushion cards and dice, and the anti-slip back keeps the mat on the table. The top layer has an ultra-fine texture that protects cards and sleeves from dirt and table scratches. The Gamegenic logo is imprinted in the corner and almost invisible depending on the light. The producer also recommends the mat as a desk mat.
Storage
Do not fold a rubber mat, roll it. Rolled along its 350 mm short side, it fits a 385 mm Gamegenic playmat tube, for example the clear one that shows off the yellow. Dust shows sooner on a light mat, so it is worth putting away after play. For protecting the cards themselves, see our card protection guide.
