Monsters, Inc. artwork
Attack of the Vine! is the set where Monsters, Inc. first came to Lorcana, and Sulley and Boo share a card in it, Sulley & Boo - Scare Buddies. The mat shows the whole trio together, in their Attack of the Vine! version. A good pick if you play Monstropolis characters or collect accessories from this expansion.
What the playmat is for
On a mat your cards do not slide around or rub against a hard surface, and they are easier to pick up than from a smooth table. Ravensburger also points out that it works away from the game as a desk mat or a large mouse pad. At tournaments and in stores your own mat marks out your side of the table.
Caring for the mat and your cards
Store the mat rolled rather than folded, since creases stay. For transport you can use a Gamegenic playmat tube. The mat protects cards on the table, but valuable cards are still best played sleeved. Our card protection guide explains how to pick sleeves and deck boxes. The same set also has a second mat, Circle of Life.
