Q-Workshop: Classic Runic Dice Set - Black & Green (7 pcs)
The Q-Workshop Classic Runic Black & Green dice set is seven roleplaying dice: black dice with green numerals in a runic font. The maker describes them as a set in "practical black" with very readable runes that look as if they glow with the magic inside them.
- 7 dice: d4, d6, d8, d10, d00, d12, d20
- black body, green paint
- numerals styled as runes
- plastic, about 60 g, lifetime warranty
Set contents
One of each: d4, d6, d8, d10, d12 and d20, plus a d00 numbered in tens. Rolling the d00 with the d10 gives a d100 percentile result, used in Call of Cthulhu and Warhammer among others.
Runes on practical black
Q-Workshop aims this set at "enlightened adventurers who do not like trinkets and shoddy workmanship", adding that black is always in fashion, for well-read mages and battle-hardened warriors alike. Green on black brings nature magic to mind, so the dice suit a druid, a ranger or a warlock. Classic Runic keeps the restraint of the maker's classic dice: the faces carry only runic numerals, with no extra engravings.
Which games they work with
A d4 to d100 set covers Dungeons & Dragons, Pathfinder and most other roleplaying systems. The runic font looks best in fantasy campaigns, especially ones with a Norse feel.
Other runic variants at GILDIS: Black & Red and White & Red.
