What you get
The toploader is a rigid clear holder with a 3 x 4 inch outer size (about 76 x 102 mm). The penny sleeve is a thin, soft inner layer made of acid-free, non-PVC material that keeps the card surface free of scratches. Both fit standard-size cards such as Pokémon TCG cards.
When one is enough
Usually when a booster gives you a card you do not want loose or in a sleeve alone, or when you are posting a single card after a trade. Slide the card into the penny sleeve first, then into the toploader together with the sleeve - that is how Ultra PRO recommends it, as the sleeve adds an acid-free layer and the toploader adds rigidity.
More pieces or stronger protection
