What the mission board is for in Naruto Mythos
A game of Naruto Mythos lasts four Rounds, and each Round one new mission comes into play. Its rank depends on the Round: in the first it is a D-rank mission worth 1 extra point, then C (+2), B (+3) and A (+4). Missions from earlier Rounds stay on the table and are scored again, so in the fourth Round you resolve four missions at once, from D to A.
The Mission Board keeps this in order on the table. Each new mission goes to its slot and the rank bonus is printed next to the card, so when scoring you do not need to remember how many extra points each mission gives. Characters assigned to a mission go next to its slot, as in a normal game.
The kunai on a bearing
In the middle of the board sits a kunai mounted on a bearing. Spin it whenever something needs to be decided at random at the table, such as the first player: the rulebook has you pick them at random, and the starting player takes the Edge token.
Assembly and storage
The board is made of four segments that lock together into one strip. Lay it out in full on the table, and after the game take the segments apart so they take up less space. The set contains the board segments and the kunai pointer. The board is 3D printed to order.
Playing cards are not included.
Other colour and the player set
The same board comes in a brown version with black lettering. The black board together with the chakra counter, mission counter and three attack counters is also available as the Naruto Mythos player set.
