The brown mission board: the look
The warm brown colour with black lettering and a black kunai hub gives the board a more muted look than the black version with gold print. It suits a wooden table. The slot layout, scoring and kunai are the same in both versions.
Mission ranks on the board
In Naruto Mythos, the player with the most Mission Points after four Rounds wins. Each Round one new mission hits the table, and its rank comes from the Round it entered: D in the first, C in the second, B in the third and A in the fourth. Winning a mission gives you its base points from the card plus a rank bonus from 1 to 4. Older missions do not go away - they are scored again every Round, so by the end of the game four missions are on the table at once.
On the board each mission has its own slot with the bonus printed. When scoring a Round you see straight away what each mission is worth, and characters assigned to a mission go next to its slot.
Kunai and assembly
Spin the kunai on its bearing whenever something needs to be drawn at random at the table, such as the first player: the rulebook has you pick them at random, and the starting player takes the Edge token. After the game the segments come apart; the set contains the board segments and the kunai pointer.
Playing cards are not included.
The set with the brown board
The brown board is part of the brown Naruto Mythos player set with chakra, mission and attack counters. Prefer a darker one? There is also a black Mission Board with gold print.
