How the Vi deck plays
The Legend is Vi, Piltover Enforcer, and your Chosen Champion is one of Vi, Destructive, Vi, Hotheaded or Vi, Peacekeeper. The deck runs 6 Order and 6 Fury runes and three battlefields: Trapping Grounds, Star Spring and Valley of Idols.
The game plan: keep up the pressure, protect your biggest units and never run out of gas. Highlights include Rengar, Unseen, Xerath, Freed, Inferna, Lord Broadmane and Hextech Gauntlets, and the deck comes with 4 double-faced Bird/Gold tokens.
Unleashed: XP, Hunt and Ambush
Unleashed is Riftbound's third set, themed around the League jungle. It introduces XP, a resource you build up and spend, and Level cards that gain abilities once you have enough XP. Hunt earns XP when a unit conquers or holds a battlefield, and Ambush lets you play a unit as a Reaction to a battlefield where you already have units. The included booster has 14 cards: 7 commons, 3 uncommons, 1 foil, 2 rare-or-better cards and a token or rune slot.
Who it's for
A Champion Deck is a one-player entry into Riftbound: a complete deck you can start upgrading with booster cards right away. New players get a deck with a clear plan, and existing players get a second deck for game night or a base for their own Vi build.
For two players, Showdown Decks: Zed vs Shen is a better fit, and for four, Proving Grounds.
How Riftbound works
Your units march on battlefields: conquering one scores a point, and each turn you keep it scores another. The first player to 8 points wins.
