StarCraft: Zeratul - Protoss - Expansion Set (the publisher's Protoss Hero Expansion Set) adds a Protoss hero to StarCraft: Tabletop Miniatures Game by Archon Studio. The box holds two Zeratul miniatures, a standard version and a clear version, and six cards.
What's in the Zeratul set
- 2 Zeratul miniatures: standard and clear
- 6 cards
- assembly manual
The miniatures come unpainted and unassembled, in plastic on sprues.
Zeratul: a blade in the shadows
The Dark Prelate of the Nerazim, present at every major war in the Koprulu sector, from the fall of the Overmind to the discovery of the Hybrids. In the game he is a hero who removes high-value targets: enemy heroes, elite units and support pieces hiding behind the front line.
- One With the Shadows - after every action Zeratul becomes HIDDEN again. While hidden he cannot be shot from more than 4 inches away.
- Master Warp Blade - 4 dice in melee, hitting on 3+, 2 damage per hit. The INSTANT keyword stops the target from using reaction abilities.
- Void Blink - a 6-inch blink that forces your opponent to watch the positioning of their whole army.
- Shadow Strike and Void Prison - punish units that engage him and slow down nearby enemies.
Zeratul is very hungry for psionic energy: his full potential takes 3-4 PSI points a turn, so he rewards careful planning.
What to combine him with
Zeratul can take distant objectives on his own, so he complements an army built around Zealots fighting on the front line. Other Protoss heroes such as Tassadar are also available.
