The Zealot's role in a Protoss army
Zealots are lower-ranked Templar and the backbone of the Protoss military. Each has decades of hand-to-hand training, and they fight in platoons and legions. On the table they are front-line infantry built for melee.
According to the rulebook a unit is 3 models for 160 minerals, with a Supply value of 2. The rulebook also has the Praetor Guard, an elite Zealot unit variant (3 models, 280 minerals); the Founders Edition list fields one alongside regular Zealots. Upgrades include Leg Enhancements, My Life for Aiur and We Stand as One.
What to combine them with
Both starters include 6 Zealots, two units: the Protoss Starter Set and the Founders Edition. This set adds a third unit as your army grows to Standard scale (2000 minerals). Sentries work well behind them in support.
About the game
StarCraft: Tabletop Miniatures Game is Archon Studio's miniatures wargame, licensed by Blizzard. Players alternate unit activations, armies arrive from reserve as Supply allows, Minerals buy units and Vespene Gas buys tactical cards. A starter with a 1000-mineral army is enough to begin, and expansions like this one let you grow it and vary your lists.
