The Witcher: Old World - Wild Hunt (Wiedźmin: Stary Świat - Dziki Gon) is an expansion that turns the competitive game into a cooperative one. Instead of racing for trophies, the witchers prepare together for a showdown with one of the riders of the Wild Hunt, fighting monsters and hounds along the way. You need the Witcher: Old World base game to play.

How Wild Hunt plays

At the start you choose your enemy: Eredin, Caranthir, Imlerith or Nithral. The rider is on the board from round one and moves towards the witchers, but you can only fight him in the final round: the eighth, or the seventh with four or five players. Before that you wear down his shields by defeating hounds and monsters that appear according to the round board.

Witchers do not fight each other, but they can support one another against a monster in the same area. If you defeat the rider in the final fight before every witcher is knocked down, you all win. The difficulty level (four steps, from easy to very hard) sets the number of starting monsters and the rider's shields.

What to combine Wild Hunt with

The rulebook allows combining it with Mages and Monster Trail, but recommends playing the first game without other expansions. Wild Hunt does not combine with the Adventure Pack.
