Gamegenic: Playmat Prime 2 mm, Red
The red Gamegenic Prime playmat is the boldest colour in the range: solid red on a 610 x 350 mm mat made of 2 mm natural rubber. There is no artwork, only a subtle imprinted logo in the corner, so your cards stay in the spotlight.

A red mat for aggressive decks
In card games red usually means a fast attack. This mat is a good backdrop for red Magic: The Gathering decks, Ruby ink decks in Disney Lorcana and the Aggression aspect in Star Wars: Unlimited. Red is also one of the leader colours in the One Piece Card Game, and in the Pokémon TCG it brings Fire Pokémon to mind. If your deck has a red character, the mat shows it.
Why rubber rather than a simple pad
The Prime mat is 2 mm of natural rubber. It softly takes cards and rolled dice, and the back keeps it in place. The surface is ultra-fine: it protects cards and sleeves from dirt and table scratches, and cards slide over it easily. The same mat works as a desk mat too.
Mat, tube and sleeves
To carry the mat to a tournament, use the red Gamegenic playmat tube: it is 385 mm long, and the mat rolled along its short side is 350 mm. Cards on the table are best protected by sleeves, see our card protection guide.
FAQ
Is the red colour distracting during play?
The mat is plain, with no patterns. If you prefer a calmer background, the same mat also comes in black, among other colours.
How many players is it for?
One: each player puts their own mat in front of them.
Does it slide on the table?
It should not, it has an anti-slip back.
Is the logo visible?
Barely. It is imprinted in the corner and almost disappears depending on the light.
