Pitch Black: the city goes dark as Mega Darkrai ex arrives
In Pitch Black, city lights and stars vanish into darkness as Mega Darkrai ex appears. Mega Zeraora ex strikes back with lightning, and more Mega Evolutions follow it into battle. The publisher says the set has over 115 cards, more than 20 Trainer cards and more than 35 cards with special illustrations.
What to hunt for in Pitch Black packs:
- Mega Evolution Pokémon ex: Mega Darkrai ex, Mega Zeraora ex, Mega Chandelure ex, Mega Delphox ex, Mega Slowbro ex and Mega Excadrill ex
- Pokémon ex: including Morpeko ex and Rampardos ex
- Special Illustration Rares: including Mega Darkrai ex, Morpeko ex and the Trainer Gwynn
Who a single pack is for
A single pack is a good start if you want to see the set's dark artwork in person before buying a bigger box. It also works as an add-on to an order or a small treat for a collector. A deck takes more cards than that, but a few packs already add new Trainer cards to the deck you play.
Booster pack or Elite Trainer Box
If you want sleeves, 40 Energy cards, dice and the Zarude promo along with the cards, go for the Pitch Black Elite Trainer Box with 9 packs. Single packs are enough when you just want to open a few.
