Cyberpunk TCG: Welcome to Night City - booster box (Beta, 36 packs)
Add these to your order
The Cyberpunk TCG Beta booster box holds 36 booster packs from the game's first set, Welcome to Night City, with 12 cards in each - 432 cards in total. This is the Kickstarter edition from publisher WeirdCo: the box carries the Beta symbol and contains art variants you will not find in the regular retail edition.
- 36 booster packs of 12 cards, 432 English-language cards in total
- every pack has 7 commons, 3 uncommons and 2 cards of rare or higher
- Beta symbol and art variants exclusive to Beta products
What is in the Beta booster box
Each of the 36 packs follows the same 12-card layout:
- 7 common cards
- 3 uncommon cards
- 2 cards of rare or higher (Epic Rare, Secret Rare, Iconic Rare)
Across the box that is 432 cards, including 72 rare-or-better cards and 108 uncommons. Secret Rares and Iconic Rares are not guaranteed in a box.
Beta vs the regular Welcome to Night City edition
Welcome to Night City comes in two versions. The differences, as stated by the publisher and distributors:
- Origin - Beta products come from the Kickstarter campaign. Booster boxes and starter decks from the campaign carry the Beta symbol; the retail edition does not.
- Box size - the Beta display holds 36 packs, the retail display 24. Packs in both versions hold 12 cards.
- Art variants - Beta contains art variants exclusive to Beta products. The retail edition has its own alt-art Iconic Rares instead, so each version has something the other lacks.
- Print run - WeirdCo has locked in the print runs for both versions and stated that it will not reprint the same set in the same configuration, nor run another Kickstarter campaign.
The rules and the set are the same: cards from both versions are Welcome to Night City cards.
Top rarities in Welcome to Night City
Rarities run from Common through Rare and Epic Rare up to Secret Rare and Iconic Rare. Secret and Iconic Rares get raised PVT texture (Precision Vectorized Texturing), mapped by hand to each card's art, and Iconic cards have their names in silver cold foil. Examples shown by WeirdCo include the Iconic Rare Adam Smasher: Metal Over Meat and the Secret Rare July Álvarez: Nothing to Doubt.
What a full box is good for
The official Pre-release Kit is 6 packs per player, plus 3 extra Legends and dice. So 36 packs give pack pools for six players in that sealed format - Legends and dice have to be provided separately. With 72 rare-or-better cards, the box is also a solid base for building your own decks and for trading.
Collectors pick it for the Beta-only variants, and groups split it at a meetup or on stream.
Which format to pick
If you want a smaller box or the alt-arts from the retail edition, go for the Welcome to Night City booster box (24 packs). Single Beta booster packs are enough to try Beta, and the Beta box live break gets the box opened for you on stream.
Cyberpunk TCG at a glance
It is a collectible card game for two players. Each player has 3 Legends and a 40-50 card deck, sells cards from hand for Eddies and fights over Gigs, represented by dice from d4 to d20. Start your turn with 7 Gigs and you win. You need a full set of six dice to play; the booster box does not include one, a starter deck does.
