Ruby and Steel
The publisher calls Ruby the ink of the daring: warriors, explorers and daredevils who rely on speed and bravery. Steel is strength: large, armoured or just plain powerful characters. It is a pair built for challenging your opponent's characters, which makes it easy to see how strength and willpower work.
Reign of Jafar: Lorcana's eighth set
Reign of Jafar is Lorcana's eighth set. In its story Jafar reforges the Hexwell Crown and declares himself Supreme Sorcerer of Lorcana. The publisher promised 200+ cards, the return of dual-ink cards (belonging to two inks and playable only in a deck with both) and Illusions: characters that vanish when an opponent chooses them for an action (the Vanish keyword).
Who it is for
Beginners who want to play without building a deck, and Infinity players, where every set is legal (Reign of Jafar is no longer in Core). For a two-player game, add the Amber and Amethyst starter deck. If you would rather team up against Jafar, see Illumineer's Quest: Palace Heist.
How Disney Lorcana plays
Lorcana is Ravensburger's trading card game with Disney characters. Cards with the inkwell symbol can go into your inkwell as ink, which you spend on characters, songs and items. You send characters questing for lore or challenge your opponent's characters, and the first to 20 lore wins.
