What's in the Marvel Super Heroes Gift Bundle

• 9 Marvel Super Heroes Play Boosters
• 1 Marvel Super Heroes Collector Booster
• 15 traditional foil basic lands, including 5 full-art City Calm lands
• 15 non-foil basic lands, including 5 full-art City Calm lands
• 1 traditional foil Daredevil, Man Without Fear promo card
• 1 oversized spindown life counter
• 2 reference cards

City Calm lands show Marvel heroes in quiet moments around the city. You get each of the five basic land types in foil and non-foil.

What the Collector Booster adds

The Collector Booster holds 15 cards: 3 foil commons, 2 foil uncommons, 3 foil cards from the MSC pool, a foil scene card, a foil City Calm or City Chaos land and a foil rare or mythic rare. On top of that come two non-foil Booster Fun cards, one foil Booster Fun card, a source material card (a well-known Magic reprint with Marvel comics art) and an art card or a foil token.

Classic comic cards appear only in Collector Boosters: 15 borderless foil mythic rares with classic comic book art, always in English. This is also where you can find the borderless Gauntlet version of The Mind Stone (in under 1% of Collector Boosters) and the textless cosmic foil version, with fewer than 150 copies printed.

The Play Boosters

Each Play Booster has 14 cards: 7 commons, 3 uncommons, a wildcard of any rarity, a rare or mythic rare, a foil, a land and a double-sided token or helper card. 9 boosters mean at least 9 rares or mythic rares and 9 foils.

Heroes and mechanics of Marvel Super Heroes

The set brings together the Avengers, the Fantastic Four, Wakanda and their villains: Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, Black Panther, Hulk, Daredevil, Elektra, Thanos, Loki, Kang the Conqueror and Doctor Doom. New mechanics are Power-up (a once-only hero ability that's cheaper the turn the creature enters), Teamwork (tap creatures with total power X to boost a spell) and Plan (enchantments that collect counters toward a big payoff). Connive returns, as do double-faced cards with a character's civilian identity.

Gift Bundle or regular Bundle

The regular Marvel Super Heroes Bundle has the same 9 Play Boosters, lands and accessories, but no Collector Booster, a The Scarlet Witch promo and City Chaos lands. Pick the Gift Bundle if you want a shot at the Collector Booster or you're after the Daredevil promo. For a complete beginner, the Marvel Super Heroes Beginner Box is the better start.
