What is in a Fantasy Wonderlands booster
Each booster holds 5 cards: 2 commons (C), a U or SPR card, an ER scene and one card that makes the pack. According to the publisher, in 6 of 20 boosters that is another U or SPR, and in 14 of 20 it is an SR or rarer (RR, GR, CR or their shining ※ version); in those packs the ER scene can be shining too. The ratios apply to the whole print run, not to a single box, and duplicates can occur. The full breakdown is on the "Rarities & pull rates" tab.
The Fantasy Wonderlands set
Fantasy Wonderlands is the first booster set of the game, coded BP01 on the cards. The six friends of Equestria, Twilight Sparkle, Pinkie Pie, Fluttershy, Applejack, Rainbow Dash and Rarity, set off on fairy-tale adventures in new outfits. The publisher groups the rarer cards into series: adventure-themed CR cards, "Delightful Moments" at RR and alternate-art events at SPR.
In My Little Pony TCG the rarity also tells you the card type. Characters and story cards run through C, U, SR, GR and CR (common to colorful rare), main character cards are RR (ruby rare), items and events SPR (sapphire rare) and scenes ER (emerald rare). The rarest are the shining versions, marked with ※ before the card number.

Booster or display
A single booster is enough to see the set up close or add a few cards to a deck. To collect the set, the Fantasy Wonderlands booster display with 20 boosters is the better deal. For a first game you need a ready deck, such as a Friendships Begin starter deck.
My Little Pony TCG in short
A collectible card game by Kayou under licence from Hasbro, for two players aged 10+. Each player builds a 50-card main deck, a 15-card scene deck that provides Harmony Power to play cards, a main character card and 4 story cards.
