Friendships Begin is the starter line for My Little Pony TCG, the Kayou card game licensed by Hasbro for two players aged 10 and up. Each of the six ponies, Twilight Sparkle, Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie, Applejack, Rainbow Dash and Rarity, has a starter deck of her own.
Each deck is 70 cards ready to play: a 50-card main deck, 15 scenes that provide Harmony Power, a main character card and 4 story cards. The box also holds a playmat and 3 Friendships Begin boosters of 5 cards. The whole line has 68 card designs across 9 rarities, and the cards are in English.
One starter deck gets one player going, while learning together takes two different decks. The display with all six decks (420 cards and 18 boosters) suits a group starting out together, as well as collectors who want all six main characters.
Once you want more, build the deck up with cards from boosters such as Fantasy Wonderlands or Discord!!!.
