What is in the Hearth's Warming Eve display
Each booster holds 5 cards. According to the publisher, 6 of 20 boosters contain a common (C), a second common or a present token (TK), 2 U or SPR cards and an ER scene. The other 14 of 20 hold 2 × C, a U or SPR, one card ranging from U and SPR up to SR, GR, CR, RR or a shining ※ version, and an ER scene that can be shining too. The ratios apply to the whole print run, not to a single box. The full breakdown is on the "Rarities & pull rates" tab.
The Hearth's Warming Eve set
Hearth's Warming Eve is the fourth booster set (BP04) and a holiday one: winter in Equestria, presents and family dinners. Spike, Princess Cadance, Shining Armor, Spitfire, Trixie, Owlowiscious and the Cutie Mark Crusaders (Apple Bloom, Scootaloo, Sweetie Belle) join the six friends, and the shining GR※ cards are the six Pillars of Equestria: Star Swirl the Bearded, Mistmane, Rockhoof, Flash Magnus, Somnambula and Mage Meadowbrook. The set brings presents into play: Deliver Present puts a present on a character and Unwrap Present opens it and triggers its effect. That is why it is the only set with a 14th rarity, 6 kinds of tokens (TK).
Card designs per rarity: C 48, U 18, SR 14, GR 12, CR 12, RR 6, SPR 28, ER 6, TK 6; shining versions: RR※ 6, CR※ 12, SPR※ 11, GR※ 6, ER※ 12.
In My Little Pony TCG the rarity also tells you the card type. Characters and story cards run through C, U, SR, GR and CR (common to colorful rare), main character cards are RR (ruby rare), items and events SPR (sapphire rare) and scenes ER (emerald rare). The rarest are the shining versions, marked with ※ before the card number.

What a full display is good for
20 boosters are the easiest way to collect a good part of Hearth's Warming Eve and build your first decks with its cards. A display is also the pick for opening a box with friends or on stream, as a single pack holds only 5 cards.
To try the set first, take a single Hearth's Warming Eve booster. For a deck that is ready on day one, start with a Friendships Begin starter deck and add booster cards to it.
My Little Pony TCG in short
A collectible card game by Kayou under licence from Hasbro, for two players aged 10+. Each player builds a 50-card main deck, a 15-card scene deck that provides Harmony Power to play cards, a main character card and 4 story cards. Characters meet in three columns, and you win when your main character reaches the end of the story first. The rules are summed up on our How to play My Little Pony TCG page.
