The miniatures come unpainted and unassembled, in plastic on sprues.
The Sentry's role in a Protoss army
The shrinking Protoss population gave rise to combat drones, and the Sentry is one of them. It is a support unit that backs up Zealots and Stalkers:
- Guardian Shield - gives protection against ranged attacks.
- Force Field - force fields that can block off an entire enemy army.
According to the rulebook a unit is 2 models for 130 minerals, with a Supply value of 1. Available upgrades include Hallucination and Solid-Field Projectors.
What to combine them with
Both Protoss starters include 2 Sentries, but only the Founders Edition includes Force Field miniatures; the publisher does not list them for the regular Protoss Starter Set. If you play the regular starter, this set gives you Force Fields and a second Sentry unit.
About the game
StarCraft: Tabletop Miniatures Game is Archon Studio's miniatures wargame, licensed by Blizzard. Players alternate unit activations, armies arrive from reserve as Supply allows, Minerals buy units and Vespene Gas buys tactical cards. A starter with a 1000-mineral army is enough to begin, and expansions like this one let you grow it and vary your lists.
