Naruto Mythos: Shinobi Shiren - Booster Box (1st Edition)

The Shinobi Shiren booster box for Naruto Mythos TCG holds 24 sealed booster packs of 10 cards, 240 cards in total from the game's second set, in its 1st Edition print. Every pack has a Mission card and a Rare, and each box also includes an extra Chibi card that never appears in packs.

What's in the Shinobi Shiren booster box

The publisher lists the same layout for every pack:

• 1 card from the variant slot: a holo common or uncommon, a Rare ART, Special, Shinobi, POP, Secret or Legendary

Across the box that makes 96 commons, 72 uncommons, 24 Rares, 24 Missions and 24 variant-slot cards. The publisher does not publish pull rates, so Secret and Legendary cards are not guaranteed in a box.

Shinobi Shiren: the Chūnin Exams, the Sannin and real gold

The second Naruto Mythos set covers the Chūnin Exams, the invasion of Konoha and the pursuit of Sasuke. The main set is 140 cards: 55 commons, 55 uncommons and 30 Rares that form shared illustrations when placed side by side. On top of that come 10 Secrets numbered 141-150, among them Tsunade, Jiraiya, Orochimaru, Gamabunta, Katsuyu and Manda, as well as Naruto Uzumaki, Sasuke Uchiha, Kakashi Hatake and Zabuza Momochi.

What's new:

• Attachments - a new card type you equip to a Character or a Mission to boost its effect. The set has 24 Character Attachments and 8 Mission Attachments.
• Four new rarities - Special (10 full-art cards with gold accents), Shinobi (10 cards in pairs that rebuild duel scenes from the Chūnin Exams), Chibi (9 SD-style characters, box toppers and events only) and POP (4 lenticular cards, 300 serialized copies each).
• Legendary Gold - three cards with 22-karat gold foil: Gaara, Jiraiya and Tsunade, each limited to 1,500 serialized copies.

The Chibi characters are Gaara, Hinata, Neji, Rock Lee, Shikamaru, Kiba, Naruto, Sakura and Sasuke.

What a full booster box is good for

A Naruto Mythos deck has at least 30 cards, with no more than two copies of any one version of a character. 240 cards from one box are plenty for a first deck built around the new Attachments, and 24 Missions give you a real choice of the three Missions each player brings to a game.

Collectors pick the box to cover the core of the set and the 30 Rares that join into binder-wide artwork, and groups like to open one together.

Booster, booster box or team set

Single Shinobi Shiren booster packs are enough to try the set. Team sets such as Team Set: Rock Lee pair three packs with a character promo card. The booster box makes sense for deckbuilding or collecting: it is the only product with a Chibi card inside.

Naruto Mythos TCG at a glance

Naruto Mythos is a two-player trading card game published by Cicaboom. A game lasts exactly four rounds, and each round adds a new Mission ranked D to A, worth 1 to 4 extra points.
