Cyberpunk TCG: Welcome to Night City - Starter Deck: Embracing Power (Arasaka, Beta)

The Embracing Power starter deck for Cyberpunk TCG is a ready-to-play Arasaka Corporation deck from the Welcome to Night City set: 40 cards, 3 Legends and a full set of six dice. Your crew is led by Saburo Arasaka, Yorinobu Arasaka and their faithful bodyguard Goro Takemura, and the deck plays in red and green.

This is the Beta edition: the first print run from publisher WeirdCo's Kickstarter campaign, marked with the Beta symbol. It is not the deck from the regular retail edition - collectors tell the two print runs apart by that symbol.

• 40-card deck plus 3 Legends, 43 English-language cards in total
• 5 cards found only in this deck
• 6 dice: d4, d6, d8, d10, d12 and d20
• play style: powerful Units and Gear, raw strength on the field

What is in the Embracing Power starter deck

• a 40-card deck ready to play out of the box
• 3 Legends: Saburo Arasaka, Yorinobu Arasaka and Goro Takemura
• 5 mechanically unique cards not available in other products
• a full set of six dice to track Gigs

The deck meets the official deckbuilding rules, so from the first game you can upgrade it with booster cards, keeping within the RAM limit your Legends set.

How Embracing Power plays

Arasaka does not scheme, it overwhelms. The deck brings a full suite of powerful Units, efficient Gear to boost them, and a few handy Programs to keep control of the field. You deploy Units your Rival cannot beat in a fight and push them off their Gigs with corporate might.

In Cyberpunk TCG the higher-power Unit wins a fight, and when attacking Gigs every full 10 power steals one extra Gig. That gives a deck built on big power a simple, readable plan to win.

Who this deck is for

New players who prefer direct board play to reactions and combos, and Cyberpunk 2077 fans who want to lead the Arasaka family. The box holds everything one player needs for a game. Embracing Power shares no colours with the mercenary The Heist deck, so the two starters are a natural pair for a first matchup.

Embracing Power, The Heist or boosters

Pick Embracing Power if you like winning through Unit power. The Heist plays slower, on reactions, Quickhacks and card advantage. Once you like the deck, upgrade it with Welcome to Night City booster packs or a full booster box.
