The Heist starter deck for Cyberpunk TCG is a ready-to-play mercenary deck from the Welcome to Night City set: 40 cards, 3 Legends and a full set of six dice. It is led by V, Jackie Welles and their trusted ripperdoc Viktor Vektor, and plays in yellow and blue.

This is the Beta edition: the first print run from publisher WeirdCo's Kickstarter campaign, marked with the Beta symbol. It is not the deck from the regular retail edition - collectors tell the two print runs apart by that symbol.

The deck meets the deckbuilding rules: 3 Legends and at least 40 cards, so you can start upgrading it with booster cards right away.

How The Heist plays

The Heist wins with guile rather than raw power. Several cards reward you for keeping your Street Cred, the total of your Gig dice, low. On top of that come effective Quickhacks and plenty of ways to draw extra cards. You block your Rival's most dangerous attackers, tip fights your way with Quick Programs played in reaction to an attack, and counterattack with your own crew to steal Gigs.

It suits players who prefer a slower, more methodical path to victory over early pressure.

Who this deck is for

Anyone starting out in Cyberpunk TCG: the box holds everything one player needs for a game. Cyberpunk 2077 fans get a crew they know from the game, and players with tournaments in mind get a solid base to build on. The deck shares no colours with the Arasaka Embracing Power deck, which is why the two starters pair well as a first two-player matchup.

Pick The Heist if you like playing on reactions and card advantage. Embracing Power leans on big Units and Gear for more direct strength. Once you have a deck, add cards from Welcome to Night City booster packs.

Cyberpunk TCG at a glance

A two-player game from WeirdCo, licensed by CD PROJEKT RED. Once per turn you sell a card from hand for Eddies, which pay for Units, Programs and Gear, and every turn you roll another Gig die. Units attack your Rival's Gigs to steal them. Start your turn with 7 Gigs and you win.
