Artanis and the Pylon on the battlefield
Artanis is the leader of the Daelaam and a renowned Protoss warrior, set on uniting his divided people and retaking Aiur. In the game he is your army's hero: per the rulebook he costs 250 minerals with a Supply value of 1. The Founders Edition Protoss list fields him with the Khalai faction.
The Pylon is a summoned unit: it has no mineral cost, is not part of your army list and takes no slot. The publisher points to it as a way to get heavy units such as the Immortal closer to mission objectives quickly.

Artanis and the Pylon already come in the Protoss Starter Set - Founders Edition. This expansion is for players who started with the regular Protoss Starter Set, which has no hero. The Pylon pairs well with the Immortal.
