The Queen in the Swarm
In the StarCraft universe the Queen spreads creep, the organic carpet the Swarm moves over, and creates the larvae that morph into more Zerg. She doesn't stay at the Hive, though: thanks to her mending abilities she takes to the front line and sustains your army as it fights.
She makes the Swarm harder to wipe out. Zerg units near a Queen hold out longer, buying you time to bring reinforcements from reserves.
Queen, Zagara and the starter
One Queen comes in the Zerg Starter Set, where she leads Zerglings, Roaches and Hydralisks. This box helps when your army grows and you want support for more than one group. If you like how the Queen plays, also look at Zagara: according to the publisher she is a queen too, with many Queen abilities plus her own bonuses for Swarm units.
About the game
StarCraft: Tabletop Miniatures Game is Archon Studio's officially licensed wargame. Players alternate activating units, and units arrive from reserves as Supply allows.
