The Goliath in a Terran army

The publisher describes the Goliath as a versatile walker present in almost every Terran army. Its pilot runs a computer-based heavy weapons system that, in the StarCraft universe, accurately hits both ground and airborne targets. On the table it is heavier support for Marines and Marauders, and in bigger battles a screen for the Siege Tank: the publisher suggests protecting the tank with Marines and Goliaths.

The Goliath works best in formation. In its Zagara article the publisher uses a lone Goliath as the textbook target for a big Zergling squad that surrounds and overwhelms it. Keep it close to your infantry rather than out on an exposed flank.

Starter and expansion

One Goliath comes in the Terran Starter Set, along with Marines, Marauders and Medics. This box adds a second walker for larger armies or a stronger line around your Siege Tank.
