StarCraft: Hydralisk - Zerg - Expansion Set

The Hydralisk - Zerg - Expansion Set is an add-on for StarCraft: Tabletop Miniatures Game with four Hydralisks, one of StarCraft's most iconic units. They are the Swarm's shooters: where Zerglings have to run up to the enemy, Hydralisks shred it with volleys of spines from range.

• 4 Hydralisk miniatures to assemble
• oval 40x100mm bases
• a unit card and a tactical card
• faction: Zerg, English edition

What's in the Hydralisk box

• 4 Hydralisk miniatures
• 4 plastic 40x100mm bases
• 1 Hydralisk unit card
• 1 tactical card
• assembly manual

The models are HIPS plastic on sprues, unassembled and unpainted.

Hydralisks in a Zerg army

Hydralisks fire Needle Spines at 12", the same reach as Marines with C-14 rifles. That gives the Zerg what Zerglings alone lack: hitting the enemy before close combat and punishing units that try to escape.

The publisher shows this in its Ravager example: Marines hide behind a wall from Hydralisks, but when Ravager bile forces them to run, they step right into the spines. The two units complement each other: the Ravager outranges the Hydralisk, while Hydralisks punish any move out of cover.

Starter and more squads

Four Hydralisks already come in the Zerg Starter Set, along with Zerglings, Roaches and a Queen. This box adds a second squad of shooters for bigger armies. For longer-range fire, add the Ravager Expansion Set.

About the game

StarCraft: Tabletop Miniatures Game is Archon Studio's licensed wargame. You build your army with Minerals and tactical cards with Vespene Gas, and units enter the table from reserves.
