Star Wars Unlimited: Homeworlds - Booster Pack

The Homeworlds booster pack for Star Wars: Unlimited is a single 16-card pack from the game's ninth set, taken from a booster display. Every pack holds a leader, a rare or legendary, a Hyperspace foil and at least one Hyperspace card.

What's in a Homeworlds booster pack

16 English-language cards:

• 9 commons
• 3 uncommons
• 1 rare or legendary
• 1 leader
• 1 base or token
• 1 Hyperspace foil
• at least 1 Hyperspace card

Roughly one pack in 18 also holds a non-foil Prestige card, the alternate-art variant that used to be found only in Carbonite packs. The pack art is random; we can't pick a specific version.

What you can pull in Homeworlds

The set has 272 cards about the galaxy's planets and the armies that invade them. The bases carry the traits of four planets: Tatooine, Naboo, Endor and Kashyyyk. The leader slot gives you one of the common or rare leaders, such as Wicket, Jar Jar Binks, Darth Vader, Maul or Maz Kanata. Every leader also has a rare Showcase variant, which can turn up in a regular pack too.

The rare/legendary slot draws from 50 rares (not counting leaders) and 20 legendaries. The legendaries include Yoda, Qui-Gon Jinn, Emperor Palpatine, the Third Sister and monsters such as the Giant Gorax, the Sando Aqua Monster and the Ritual Dragon. Creatures are one of the set's themes, and five of them fight in space, among them the Starlit Purrgil and the Awakened Exogorth. Another group is the Disaster events, such as Sandstorm and Torrent, which other cards in the set respond to. Many of them hit harder with a specific planet base: Torrent gives a unit a Weakness token, or two if you control a Naboo base, and Sandstorm costs one resource less with a Tatooine base.

New mechanics you will find in the pack:

• Fortify - upgrades that attach to your base instead of a unit, the first of their kind in the game.
• Beast - cards that create a 3/3 unit token, the largest token in the game.
• Weakness - cards that put a -1/-1 token on an enemy unit.

When one pack is enough

A single pack is a way to see the new mechanics in person or top up your own pool. Draft takes three packs per player, sealed takes six. For more than that, the Homeworlds booster display with 24 packs is the better buy, and for one player's sealed pool there is the Prerelease Box with six packs and accessories. If variants are what you are after, go for a Carbonite pack with a guaranteed Prestige card.
